If the 381 horsepower, 401 lb.-ft. of power that is swiftly delivered from the class-leading 2012 Toyota Tundra's 5.7-liter V8 iFORCE engine isn't enough for you, there is good news from Toyota Racing Development.  Thanks to the desires of just you kinds of power enthusiasts, the kind folks at TRD have developed a supercharger just for the 5.7L V8 Tundra.

Let's get the numbers out of the way first: how does 504 horsepower at 5500 RPMs and 550 lb.-ft. at 5400 RPM, or a massive gain of 123 HP and 149 lb.-ft., grab you?  In its standard, naturally aspirated form the 5.7L equipped Toyota Tundra is no slouch, that much is sure, but the supercharged version is something else entirely!  Back in the November 2008 issue of Motor Trend Magazine, a Tundra Regular Cab 5.7L V8 was tested with the then freshly released TRD Supercharger and yielded a spring of 0-60 mph in an incredible 4.4 seconds.  The same truck went on to wreck a quarter mile drag in 13 seconds flat at 106 mph  And, in case you found this page by accident and are starting to scoff, remember:  these would be pretty impressive numbers for a sports car - and this is a full size truck!

In order to make the TRD Supercharger run optimally with your Toyota Tundra truck, air temperatures are kept in check with an air-to-water intercooler setup and the TRD Supercharger kit also comes with some upgrades in the fuel system as well as a high flow intake.  Using your OEM factory engine control unit with a re-flash to keep everything under control without further needed alteration, this means the price tag shown above is an inclusive kit needing little assembly to the Toyota trained service professional  Best of all, and something we're asked a lot, the TRD Supercharger kit is 100% emissions standard legal in all 50 states. 

The Toyota Tundra TRD Supercharger is sold as a dealer-installed or over the counter option after the retail sale of the vehicle, however, so be sure to ask your sales consultant member as soon as possible.  Additionally the TRD Supercharger cannot be sold at the same time as the vehicle, cannot be financed with the vehicle, and cannot be attached to a Flex Fuel system.
